Tilicho lake is one of the highest lake in the world. It is 4,949 m high in the Annapurna
mountain range of the Himalayas in Manang district of Nepal Another source lists Lake
Tilicho as being 4,919 meters high (16,138 feet). Mountain lakes are known to geographers
as tarns f they are caused by glacial activity.Tarns are found mostly in the upper reaches
of the Himalaya, above 5,500 meters.Due to the extremely inhospitable surrounding terrain
and the difficultiesassociated with reaching the area, this lake is rarely visited by
outsiders.It was also the site of one of the highest ever altitude scuba dives. A Russian
diving team consisting of Andrei Andryushin, Denis Bakin and Maxim Greskoconducted a scuba
dive in the lake in 2000.

Day 13 Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (5200 meters) and back
down to Tilicho Base Camp (4200meters) 6 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 14 Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4000 meters) 5 hours.
Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 15 Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450 meters) 5 hours.
Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 16 Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800 meters) via Thorung La
pass (5416 meters) 8 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 17 Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2720 meters) 5 hours. Overnight at

Day 18 Early morning fly to Jomsom to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel
