The nearest glacier from the Kathmandu valley - Langtang valley trekking trail lies northern part of
the Kathmandu valley in Langtang National park. The Langtang national park offers three major treks
Langtang valley trek, Gosiankunda trek and Halambu trek. Langtang valley trek offers superb view of
Langtang rang including the highest peak of the region Mt. Langtang Lirung.  The Trek starts from
Sabru basi (1450 m) to Kyagjin valley (3800m) and ends in Kathmandu.Langtang National Park Langtang

unique flora and fauna Langtang Valley trekking trail stars from Syabrubasi 1450 m to Kyagjin valley
and ends in syabrubasi. The Langtang national park extends over parts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and
Sindhupalchok districts in the southern mountainous terrain of the Nepal-China (Tibet) border. In
1998 an areas of 420 km2 in and around the park declare as a  buffer zone. The park represents
a meeting point between indo-Malayan and Palearctic realms, and holds a rich biodiversity.Buffer
zone management is a joint venture between the park office and the local communities. Local
communities have a decision-making role in the management of such areas. Additionally, the local
communities or the BZ receive 30 to 50 % of the park revenue for the better management of natural
resources to ensure a sustainable supply of resources and community development Climate September
through May offers a variety of natural splendors, from lush temperate river valleys with screeching
langur to spectacular old growth forest and glacial-craved cliffs rimmed by snow-covered peaks. The
weather is also relatively dry except January-February when one may come across snow.Autumn is the
best time to visit the Park. By April bursts of red, pink, and while rhododendrons stretch into
towering canopies of fir and oak forests. Advent of warm weather makes the Yak and Chauri herds
ascend to higher elevation, making occasional camps in the pasturelands, to follow years of tradition.
From June to august, skies are heavy with monsoon rains Flora and Fauna Sub-tropical vegetation
characterized by Sal (Shorea robusta) forest in the southern section of the park is gradually
taken over by hill forest (2000-2600m) consisting of Chirpine, Rhododendron, and Nepalese alder.
The temperate zone (2600-3000m) is covered mainly by oak forest fading to old growth forest of
silver fir, hemlock, and larch in the lower sub-alpine zone (3000-3600m). The Nepalese larch
(larixnepalensis), the only deciduous conifer in the region, is found in this park and few
places elsewhere. Throughout these zones different species of Rhododendron such as R. arboretum,
R. barbatum, R. campanulatum,and R. lepidotum (scrubs) to name a few, form a colorful under story.
Tree species such as birch, silver fir, Sorbus microphyla and twisted Rhododendroncampanulatum are
found near the tree line. It is here at 4000m Juniper and Rhododendron shrubs
(R. anthopogon) slowly dissolve into expansive alpine grassland meadows.

            Morning is free after breakfast drive to Syabru Besi via Dhunche (1950 m) - District headquarter of Rasuwa
            district. Overnight at hotel in syabru Besi

Day 04  Syabru Besi (1450 m) – Lama Hotel (2748 m)
            Early morning trek from Syabru Besi to Bombo via Doman, after breakfast in Bombo trek to Lama Hotel,
            Overnight at tea house.

Day 05  Lama Hotel (2748 m) - Langtang valley (3500m)
            Morning is free after breakfast trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village via Gora tabela. Overnight
            at tea house in Langtang village

Day 06  Langtang valley (3500m) - Kyagjin valley (3800m)
            Morning is free after trek from Langtang village to Kyagjin Valley. Overnight at tea house in
            Kyagjin Valley
 
Day 07  Rest day in Kayagjin valley (3800m)
            Exploring day in kayagjin valley (short trek to trekking peaks, glacier walk, monastery visit
            and many more), Overnight at tea house in Kyagjin Valley

Day 08  Kyagjin valley (3800m) to Lama Hotel (2748 m)
            Morning is free after breakfast trek back from Kyagjin valley to Lama Hotel Overnight at tea house.

Day 09    Lama Hotel (2748 m) to Syabru Besi (1450 m)
            Morning is free after breakfast trek back from Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi Overnight at Syabru basi.

Day 10  Drive Syabru Besi (1450 m) to Kathmandu (1350 m)     
            Morning is free after breakfast drive syabru basi to Kathmandu (Approximately 08 Hrs drive),
            overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 11  Rest day in Kathmandu
            Rest day in Kathmandu, Evening: Nepalese dinner with cultural show, overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 12  Kathmandu departure
               Leisure day in Kathmandu, departure to Kathmandu International airport (TIA)
